The first fully annotated edition of Arnold's poems, containing, in addition to all the pieces published in the poet's lifetime, "juvenilia" not previously in print, unfinished poems and poetic fragments, the verse translations from Homer (previously uncollected) and the missing first half of one of Arnold's love poems, "The River". The first of four appendices contains the 1853 and 1854 Prefaces, also fully annotated.
