Her velvety, versatile timbre makes mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča one of the outstanding singers of he present day. She followed up her international break-through at the Salzburg Festival with two celebrated CD releases in 2005 that laid the foundation of her rich discography: a Mozart recital and the world premiere of Vivaldi's opera Bajazet.
