This album presents the world-première recording of Pēteris Vasks's Second Cello Concerto Klātblūtne, which was written for Sol Gabetta and the Amsterdam Sinfonietta. Sol Gabetta also plays Musique du soir, in which she is accompanied by her mother on the organ, and she is heard additionally in a fascinating piece for solo cello, Grāmata čellam.--Container.
