Shrouded in myth, the Blue Nile is one of Africa's greatest rivers. From its source in the Ethiopian highlands, the Blue Nile plunges a vertical mile in its 840 mile course to the plains of Sudan, carving out one of the most rugged and beautiful watercourses in the world.
