For many people, the hardest and most overwhelming part of preparing a grant request or crowdfunding campaign is the budget. This program breaks down the basics of what a budget should include, as well as how to create budgets that are clear and realistic. Areas discussed include the budget narrative, direct costs, shared costs or in-kind contributions, and matching grants. This program also explores what makes a successful crowdfunding campaign, from understanding the funding platform rules and fees to creating a pitch video and using social media to grow your base of supporters and donors.
