A celebration of the indefatigable vitality of its hero, Verdi's great, final Shakespearean ensemble piece opens the season with a riot of color in this spectacular production by Graham Vick with vibrant, medieval designs by Paul Brown. A superlative cast has been assembled under the baton of The Royal Opera's music director, Bernard Haitink. The acclaimed Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel sings his first Falstaff in London, and Barbara Frittoli sings the role of Alice Ford. Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
