The 1st work is the 6th song in the composer's Blue-- green-- white-- for unacc. chorus (SATB); added acc. by the composer. 2nd and 4th works for unacc. chorus (SATB), the 2nd comprising 6 of the 7 Songs from Shakespeare. 3rd for chorus (SATB) and wind quintet. 6th for unacc. children's solo voices (SSAA) and children's chorus (SSA).
General Note
Text of 1st work by Dennis Lee tells story of William Lyon Mackenzie's rebellion against Family Compact in Upper Canada in 1838; texts of 3rd work comprise English translations of traditional Japanese poems selected from an ed. of Ichiryusai Hiroshige's The 53 stations of the Tokaido.
