A reconstructed early 13th century ceremony referred to as a "fool's mass" or "mock mass" celebrated between Christmas and Epiphany with "Propers" consisting of Goliard melodies and parody texts from the source ms. known as Carmina Burana; the chants of the Ordinary are taken from various sources of Gregorian repertory; instrumental music is derived from the Carmina Burana and other period sources.
