Description
The ensemble from Ruvo di Puglia (a small town in Apulia, Southern Italy) released a superb set of original Italian Banda (brass versions of famous opera arias) and jazz songs for Enja in 1997, but the huge brass ensemble is actually best known for its yearly performances at processions in the Holy Week. This new album presents this repertoire recorded live by Radio France at the Festival Saint-Denis in Paris in 2009.
