Description
There isn't an obvious link between the traditional and popular songs of South Africa and European operatic repertoire, but for Pumeza Matshikiza these diverse styles represent the story of her life. Her debut album, Voice of Hope, is Pumeza's story told through music, from her upbringing in the Eastern Cape and the townships of Cape Town to her arrival as a fully-fledged lyric soprano in the major opera houses of Europe.
