Documentary portrait of 16-year-old John, a victim of Tourette syndrome-- he often flies into hyperactive outbursts punctuated by profanity. Family members describe the daily strain of living with someone with Tourette's, and John himself admits to frustration so intense that he sometines contemplates suicide. Dr. Oliver Sacks explains the levels of severity in individual patients, and calls for public awareness and sensitivity toward those who are afflicted.
