In 1938, Emma Tenayuca led 10,000 pecan shellers' in a massive strike. In 1987, black women led a march of 3,000 through the streets of Nacogdoches. Experimental and contemporary, the film ends with the removal of the Jefferson Davis statue at UT-Austin.
