Peace and justice in the scriptures of the world religions explores the important scriptural texts from the Hindi Bhagava-Gita, the Buddhist Dhammapada, the Confucian Analects, the Taoist Te Ching, the Jewish Talmud, and the Muslim Qur'an, to reveal their wisdom about how human beings may live together in peace and justice. The authors Denise Lardner Carmody and John Tully Carmody provide the historical and philosophical background for each tradition and scripture.
