Stories drawn largely from non-Jewish sources, in the Aesopic tradition, which were widely circulated in Europe during the Middle Ages.

Coyote is featured in each of these Aztec interpretations of Aesop's fables. The illustrations are set in the twentieth century.

A version of Aesop's fables finds that kind hearted Poppy is willing to help snake after he hurts him, but because he is aware and careful he is able to protect himself.
