This program features excerpts from Jean Erdman''s dance-drama The Coach with the Six Insides based on James Joyce''s Finnegans Wake and includes performances by Erdman, Anita Dangler, Van Dexter, Leonard Frey, and Gail Ryan. This OBIE award winning dance-drama is a combination of dance, mime, and Joycean stream-of-consciousness language.

The boys sacrifice a normal high school experience (including parties and dating) for the sake of ambition and a love of dance. Sasha Ivanochko landed in dance after successfully representing Canada on the international stage in gymnastics. In a recent Globe and Mail article celebrating the "Top 133 Young Canadians" of the new millennium, she was described as "one of the powerhouses of the Toronto Dance Theater and regarded as a stellar choreographer in her own right." In addition to her active performing schedule, she finds time to teach.

Peter Boneham is a most colorful character. At an age when most people are well into retirement, he is tireless in his pursuit of encouraging emerging talent to push their choreographic frontiers. Always outspoken and quick with a smile, Boneham continues to inspire all around him.

Peter Chin became a choreographer after establishing himself first as a classical pianist and composer. Add art direction to his multiple talents, and you have a combination that delivers dramatic performances with soaring soundtracks. Next to creating, Peter thrives on traveling to Asia for adventure, introspection, and inspiration. His East and West aesthetics have made him a highly respected member of the international dance scene.
