Spanish artist and writer Antonio Saura (1930-1998) was a guest of A FONDO in June 1976. The founder of the group "El Paso" describes his initial trajectory, his long seasons in France, his friendship with Picasso and Miró, the evolution towards expressionism and abstraction, the treatment of color, the moral attitude, and his attitude to the success he obtained: "I do not worry at all ... The important thing is to live."

Dramatised documentary about the photographer Eugène Atget (1857-1927), who is best known for his photographs of the architectural and decorative details of old Paris. Dramatised documentary which portrays Atget's struggle to find a market for his work compatible with his uncompromising approach to photography. Numerous examples of his work are included in the film.

Description
Exploration into the life of Dora Carrington. Dora Carrington is often mainly regarded as a personality of the Bloomsbury Group due to her relationship with the writer Lytton Strachey. She was, however a talented painter whose career was curtailed by her suicide in 1932. During the making of this programme much of her previously unknown work was discovered, including a major mural.
